Dressage Training

Victoria (Tori) Retamoza

Tori is a USDF Gold, Silver, Bronze medalist and Silver Freestyle Bar recipient with much international competition success.  She currently serves on the USDF Youth Programs Advisory Subcomittee (YPAS) representing Region 2.

Tori is the 2018 National Dressage Pony Cup First Level Open Champion and Butterfly Encounter (Tink), her mount, is the 2018 National Dressage Pony Cup Grade Pony Champion!

Known for her positive teaching style, she coaches riders of all ages and levels, and a variety of horse breeds, including  Arabians, Warmbloods, and off-track Thoroughbreds.

 

She competed at the FEI North American Junior Young Rider Championship (NAJYRC) in 2011 and 2012 on the Region 2 Young Rider Team, finishing 10th in the Individual Test in 2012 with over forty riders.  She competed at the Festival of Champions, Gladstone, NJ,  in the Young Rider Division in 2012.  

 

Tori is a USDF Dressage Seat Medal Finalist and has won year-end awards with USEF, USDF, KDA and MSEDA.   She competed in the U-25 Grand Prix division from 2014-2016.  

 

Tori understands the importance of staying current and furthering one’s dressage education. She was accepted into the Young Rider Graduate Program at Wellington, Florida in January 2016 and 2018.

 

She has had the pleasure to ride and audit with top clinicians, including George Williams, Scott Hassler, Caroline Roffman, Richard Malmgren, Charles de Kunffy, Michael Poulin, Angela Hecker-Jackson, Bo Jenna, Kim Schisler Sosebee, Nancy Baker, JJ Tate, Chrissa Hoffmann, and Jeremy Steinberg.
